Performance
seriously, though i don't really feel nervous, but i still feel a little nervous...
Dawn of new day, Nobody & Ride...
Ms Chia said that Dawn of new day too soft, Nobody okay okay, ride she didn't comment~
Our dynamics is completely off actually... esp the ride! our 'piano' (soft) is like 'mezzo forte' (medium loud)
and the part where the whole band playing softer, we didn't make it so obvious too...
and we rushed the whole piece too :(
After that, stayed throughout whole concert - we are the first to perform, and maybe the last perf group to get out of hall
After us, is i think Chinese dance, then the mooncake festival de presentation, hiphop dance i think, Guzheng, Choir (okay, the band member knows it) and lastly another hiphop dance...
Carry instruments, stand back to band room...
Band Practice
Mr Tan wasn't quite satisfied as we make quite alot of mistakes and we played it all over again.
Finally, last piece we played - Pirate's dream!
and he said if we cannot play it, he will have to take it back =(
but in the end, we can still play it (勉强) but this need alot of practices and correct our mistakes~
However, he had us return Armenian dance score.. (it's lucky that i got print LOL)
and the sax. section has requested to play 'First Love - addicted to you' :D
The solos by trumpet (that one totally OMG!), Oboe (NICE!) , Sax. and trombone!
and the long waited 'Persis' LOL
Then Mr Tan said Persis we cannot make it, maybe 'El Camino Real' he can bring~
Woots! El Camino Real~ Nice yeah and the running notes is like a hell!
But that one seriously is nice -thumbs up- and maybe Alfred reed 's Second Suite for band not bad, but got total of 3 mvt. & Noah 's ark! the nice clar solo that is included in selection for hycb!
Siao, try so many difficult scores~ (crazy if mr tan let us try El camino real / Second suite for band~)
After band, oil-ed clarinet 's key screw, then slack for awhile to listen them (3 clarinetist who played 1st plus oboe solo part, 2 trumpeters & 1/2 tuba players?) playing pirate's dream... [by the time, wanted to go but in the end i watch them playing LOL, making lois and vivian wait~ sorry :( ]
Wanted to go eat, but in the end chiaowen go MRT station, then lixuan and I go home~ (by the time, vivian and lois alrdy go~)
This is supposed to be my last post before i starting my 'Chiong studies for EOY' plan.
Got a timetable for myself, but as if i can follow -.- idk that...
P.S Mr Jeremiah Lim came back to HYSS! He cutted his hair! LOL~
