SIBF :)

Glad that sibf is over, and finally we did it actually :D
2nd place, silver in open division #SPSB :)
though we didn't get gold, this is the first time i'm really proud of our silver, cos' it will always be a gold to us :) though we miss the gold due to penalty for exceeding timing, which is mixed feeling at first…
but at the end of day, we're still proud of this silver, cos IT WILL ALWAYS BE GOLD IN OUR HEART :)

Heard the recording (not official ones), it seems pretty good though for jidai, we made a lot of mistakes.. (like come in wrong bar… etc… THAT ONE MISTAKE T.T)
Shenandoah was (Y) though samuel said there's no much feel… but the judge actually love it 
Candide overture , munerru valibaa and incantation (though for some part tuning, i back off cos my tuning really a bit out T.T) was okay~
BUT the great thing about repertoire is really like variety of different kind of pieces. Filmscore (almost, though i feel it's more of programme music style for jidai), Orchestral transcription (Leonard bernstein! (Y) ) , Local piece (munerru~), classic piece shenandoah (is actually a folk song if i'm not wrong..?) and incantation and dance (set piece, but it's more of tonality etc~ ^^ )

Next great thing, instrumentation.
Honestly speaking, this is the first time i sit in with so many variety of instruments we used, ESP ORGAN  and HARP 
Harp is more common, BUT ORGAN IS WOW
and TWO contrabass clarinet~ + one contra alto clarinet! WTS
basically, we have one full bass clarinet section (5 ppl woo!)
Tabla (for munerru~) and daiko drums! (for jidai~)
Contrabassoon too~ (for jidai hahah)
though showing this in competition is really risky, esp for organ cos >.< there's some problem in organ on tht day sigh…
but still, hurray to waihoong! [our organist~! plus contrabass clarinetist~~] :D
and thanks all the guest players and alumnus helping us :) really feel honour to play with lots of professionals and seniors inside this band too~ learn lots of stuffs from them :)) [esp ralph, munhoe, fangyu, jerry and fabian!! :D]
